Where can I find a good diabetic diet to go by?
By admin on Nov 20, 2009 in Diabetes diet advice
I used to have a diabetic diet chart that I went by but lost it and am getting frustrated trying to find something like it online. I’m overweight and really need to get back on track again eating better for my health. Just wondering if anyone knows of a good site i can visit or give me any input on how they eat right and good tips for me…

here’s an address out of my blood test log book, they say
you can get 1,000 recipes and other stuff if you enroll.
I’m not endorsing, I’m just furnishing a posibility.
or, (similar but different company)

Look at the GI Diet by Rick Gallop (book available at Amazon for a few $/£). It was designed for diabetics and is very easy to use.

My favorite is all in a little $10.00 book that you can find right here:
I have followed the diet and other advice in this book and have not only reduced weight, but lowered my average blood sugar. My recent HbA1C was 5.8… read more on my info page here:

To best address your diabetes, you are correct that your weight is a good place to focus on. I would go one step further and say that your overall health should be your focus.
There are medical doctors that have introduced body cleansing and nutrition to their patients, some who were diabetic. When they did this, their patient’s not only improved their health, in most cases the diabetes was cured (especially Type II) or less insulin was needed (Type I), and as side effect, muscle mass increased and patients experienced a side effect of rapid, safe, and effective weight loss of fat. Apparently, the detoxification due to the cleansing allows the body to release fat stores that are harboring toxins in order to protect the body from their damaging effects.
Please consider body cleansing and nutrition as a way of reigning in your diabetes. You might be pleased when your blood sugar starts behaving properly and your doctor adjusts down or eliminates your medication. If you choose to go this route, be sure to monitor your blood sugar levels as you don’t want to over medicate. Just be sure to involve your doctor for strategies regarding adjusting your medications as your body becomes less toxic.
